Fete de la Musique
In February 2000, the Ministère de la Culture, de l'Enseignement Supérieur et de la Recherche joined the association "Fête Européenne de la Musique". This musical and cultural partnership involves the annual organization of the "Fête de la Musique", on the 21st of June each year.
This yearly concert has become a loved event and is attended by an estimated 15,000 people who attend this open air concert each year.
2019 - Orchestra National du Jazz and the Estro Armonico Orchesatra, feat: Selima
The Orchestra National du Jazz along with the Estro ArmonicoOrchestra performed for the first time in the Fete de la Music with original compositions by Gast Waltzing and David Laborier, including the arrangements of David laborier for the ONJL of traditional Luxembourgish songs. Gast Watlzing conducted and featured soloist Selima.

In 2017, due to construction on the Place Guaullaume in the center of the city, the Fete de la Musique was for the first time held in the City Parke on the Kinnigswess. Gast Waltzing conducted the Orchestra Philharmonique du Luxembourg with guest soloist China Moses, daughter of Dee Dee Bridgewater. The park was packed!
Grammy Winning Program for the
2016 Fete du la Musique, Luxembourg
In celebration of the collaboration between Angelique Kidjo, Gast Waltzing and the Orchestra Philharmonique du Luxembourg, and the resulting GRAMMY WINNING CD titled "SINGS" the 2016 Fete de la Musique was an exceptional concert performed by these collaborators, before thousands on the Place Guillaume, offered by the City of Luxembourg to the citizens and residents of the country. The next day both Angelique and Gast were honored by the Government with the presentation of medals at the official national day ceremony, where they also performed.

Gast Waltzing conducts the Orchestra Philharmonic du Luxembourg in a "Magic" themed performance of works such as L'Apprenti Sorcier from Paul Duka The Harry Potter suite from John Williams, and his Start Wars suite and "It's a Kind Of Magic" from Queen.
