Following his self produced debut album "Fingerprints" which between 2001 and 2005 had 4 singles with a total of 122 weeks of radio airplay and with 2 videos achieved 29 weeks in the top 10 on RTL TV, Luxembourg, "OUTLINES" his new album, released end November 2005, is a brutally honest and very satisfying evolution.
Daniel Balthasars new solo effort, "OUTLINES", comprised of 10 self composed and arranged songs, is as true and real as the artist himself. From the lyrical and hopeful "Before I Sleep" to the melancholy and dark "Song of a Dog". These songs are a look into the artists' soul. As he told his sound engineer in the recording phase of the album, "These songs are where I am now, and what I feel now."

Balthasar
has been involved in the underground music scene from his teenage years.
He first began writing and recording his own songs in 1998, performing all the instruments himself. Several of these songs are included on his first album, "Fingerprints". He studied saxophone, violin and piano at the Conservatoire de Musique de la Ville de Luxembourg Ville, and is self-taught on guitar.
In 1999 he became a member of the group Blue Room which won the Best Luxembourgish unplugged Pop/Rock group contest in that same year. Blue Room performed over 60 concerts nationally and internationally in that same year.
Daniel Balthasar's velvet like voice rubs you the right way. He has vocal control and power that you just want to listen to. In combination with his excellent songwriting and the honest and raw production of the tracks this album will give it's listener the whole experience.
Between 2001 and 2005 Daniel continued to pursued his studies at the Université Marc Bloch in Strasbourg, where he achieved his first and second cycle diploma degrees in Musicology.
