George Duke and the Orchestra National du Jazz, Conducted by Gast Waltzing (June 2005)
On the 21 st of June 2005, one of the opening concerts for the new Salle de la Grande-Duchesse Joséphine-Charlotte, also known simply as the Philharmonie, and the first jazz concert to be performed in the new hall was the Orchestra National du Jazz, (founded by Gast Waltzing in 2005) with world famous jazz pianist George Duke as soloist. Mr. Duke was a joy to work with and an inspiration to all the young jazz musicians in the O.N.J.L. The program was 8 original Compositions by Gast Waltzing, a composition by David Laborier, a composition by Marc Mangen and Brazil, by Mr. George Duke. The concert was conducted by Gast Waltzing.
